How to Practice Friluftsliv?

  • Embrace the elements. Follow the golden Nordic rule: "There is no bad weather, only bad clothing." Layer up, grab a raincoat, and head out regardless of the forecast.

  • Keep it simple. Skip the high-intensity workouts. Go for a slow walk through the trees, a relaxed picnic, or just sitting peacefully by a lake.

  • Unplug from the stressful world completely. Put your phone on silent or Do Not Disturb (DND) mode. Put it away and focus entirely on listening to the wind, the birds, and the rustle of the leaves.
